Did You Know?:  On Cold Days to get your Jet Flame Cigar Lighter to work properly you should give it time to warm-up in your hand for a few seconds before using it. This lets the butane become gaseous, so it can be ignited by the spark.

 HUMIDOR SEASONING 101

The Spanish Cedar wood inside your humidor has been kiln dried to reduce splitting and warping. Before the humidor will properly maintain humidity, the cedar needs to be slowly re-introduced to moisture or "seasoned".

REMEMBER -

DON'T RINSE OR WIPE THE INSIDE WITH WATER!
The Spanish Cedar will swell, damaging the liner.

Next, insert the proper size two-way humidification device like the Xikar Crystal Humidifier. Add the PG solution to the humidifier and place it in the empty humidor and wait 24-48 hours. The PG solution is formulated to regulate the humidity to +or- 70 %. Plain distilled water will not do this.

Once your humidor reaches 65% - 70% relative humidity, it's safe to store your cigars.

Deviating from or short-cutting this method may cause your cigars to dry out or become soggy. Either way, you will have cigars that are less than satisfactory.

So, take the time to do the job properly and you'll enjoy every puff.

Cigar Fact:
Premium Cigars are handmade and therefore can vary in construction. While every care is given in their construction, once in a while you may find one that is a little hard to draw. This is simple to remedy.
Use a “Cigar Poker” to gently open airways through the core of the cigar. The key word here is “gently”. Ask your tobacconist to let you use his shop poker if you don’t have one of your own. He’ll be more than happy to assist you.
